HYBRIDplus:Advanced HYBRID solar plant with PCM storage solutions in sCO2 cycles.
HYBRIDplus pioneers next-generation CSP with advanced high-density, high-temperature thermal energy storage (TES) using Phase Change Material (PCM) cascade and recycled metal wool for hybridization.
This PV+Cascade PCM-TES CSP configuration operates on supercritical CO2 cycle at 600°C, ensuring dispatchability and converting non-dispatchable PV into stored thermal energy.
The technology delivers higher efficiency, lower LCoE, full dispatchability, and environmental benefits, forming the backbone of future renewable-dominated energy systems.
HYBRIDplus reduces TES costs (12-17% of CAPEX) by >30% using PCM cascade (50% less salt inventory) and recycled metal wool for thermal conductivity. This achieves LCoE <100 €/MWh, saving 7-12.5 M€ per 100 MW plant.
