INTELLIGENT addresses critical barriers to net-zero emissions by enabling true peer-to-peer (P2P) energy trading across distributed energy resources (DERs) in four EU communities. It overcomes limited grid management tools and citizen disempowerment in energy markets.
The project delivers advanced open-source infrastructure with blockchain, AI-driven markets, secure data sharing, and grid-aware trading tools, building on GSY DEX software for regulatory adaptability.
R2M’s involvement accelerates genuine P2P implementation, influencing EU regulators toward sophisticated local energy sharing for economic and environmental gains.
INTELLIGENT develops an open-source P2P energy trading platform using blockchain and AI/ML for consumers and prosumers. Validated in pilots across Portugal, Ireland, and Switzerland, it enables secure, efficient energy exchanges aligned with EU net-zero goals.
